Join Franklin Preservation on Saturday, January 14, from 5- 9 PM for some post holiday cheer at our Divine Intervention Party. Held at One Park Way in historic Miller Park in Franklin, this party will be a warm and welcoming event. Enjoy delicious appetizers and a naughty or nice drink by the fireside while listening to the sublime music of Dennis Geib playing a baby grand piano. A classically trained pianist, Geib plays a mix of original compositions, well known classical music, show tunes and other popular music. Guests may also explore the rooms of the restored mansion, which will feature festive and antique holiday decorations.
There will be a gift basket raffle and the winner will be drawn at the end of the evening. You do not have to be present to win. Valet parking will be available.
Admission is by donation. Funds raised will benefit the restoration of the 1886 Stick Style building located on the corner of Buffalo and 11th Street, formerly known as the Old Lutheran Church. Progress on the restoration is continuing with the replacement of the steps at the two front entrances.
Franklin Preservation was awarded a second PA Keystone Grant in the amount of $30,000 to continue work on the front facade of 1101 Buffalo Street. Donations from our members and supporters made this matching grant possible. Contractors will soon be replacing deteriorated clapboards, decorative shingles and raised “stick” work.. The first PA Keystone Grant enabled us to replace the roof and add and gutters and downspouts, which will prevent future water damage to the wood siding. After the wood on the facade of former church has been repaired, the building will be painted
